i know what to do i just dont want to jump the gun, this seller is new only has 1 feedback ,i emailed him before i bid and asked if i won will you mail in a timley manner
seller said i had his word as a soldier that he would mail right away!. i also explained to him to make sure to mark it mailed well its been 5 days and still not marked shipped. i have emailed seller but now he wont email me back at all.
how would other handle this?
even newbies should get a chance to sell here after all i was a newbie back in 2003.

guy-you're patient like me.........but really, how long should we be patient? we we're all newbies, and I'm glad it's behind us! I'd e the seller again, ask when it was shipped, and remind him to mark items shipped when they're actually shipped(not 3 days before which some sellers do),and then give him some fatherly advice to mentor him in having a fruitful business.Remind him that to be successful,he needs to honor all sales( auctions too),and take resposibility for a potential business!I thought sportsbuy sent an automated message if sold items weren't marked shipped after 3 days- N. dave thank you
i have email and tryed to help him , but as soon as aution ended that was it he would not email at all. i just wish he know all he has to do is email me and all would be great!!!
i will most likey not bid on new sellers anymore, i have had bad luck with new sellers for one thing or another, and its 2 bad becuase every buyer who gets burned by new sellers will just give all new sellers a bad name here and that will be that,.
peace

Sellers have 2 days to ship an item. Send email query on the 3rd day if it is not marked shipped. Things can happen which may delay, but it depends on the level of the seller before i would get worried.
After 5 days of not being marked shipped, i would file a dispute. They is no excuse for that long. If you have an issue health or vacation, then you have ADMIN turn off all your listings until you get back

i agree with most of what you said but i see in the invoice that the seller have up to 5 days to send shipping invoice, then i see it say on a differnt page sellers have 3 days to mail then on a differnt page i see it says open a dispute on day 10-12, i do wish sportsbuy would make up there minds about the time a seller has to mail.. i did email sportsbuy and they said i cant open a disput untell day 7 even though the item is not marked mailed and the seller wont reply to my emails. so im way done buying from new sellers.
peace.

I don't know if I'd completely avoid new sellers-but to err on the side of safety, what I'd try to do is take baby steps and buy small stuff.I know it's a temptation to want a nice card, but it's kind of like gambling in a casino-you have to have the attitude of only bring or spend what you can afford to lose!I'd also set a limit to how many times I'd buy from a new seller if I continually pick the wrong ones to buy from-I know all the $5 cards add up, so I'd only chance it a few times, then say to myself"thats it! ", and move on to sellers who've been members for a while, and that they have at least 100 or so sales.I sometimes still think that what comes around, goes around-and ultimately comes out in the wash! Keep your chin up, and don't forget-we're just dealing with pictures of people on little pieces of cardboard! Lets be thankful we're not walking through caves in Afghanistan! N Idaho Dave
