Best Pull Ever

Hey Guys, Lets start a list of each sellers best pulls ever.....Here is mine in the photo, A 2001 Legendary cuts Mickey Mantle cut auto #3 of 8.....Sold on Ebay for 6,038.00.....Made my year for sure.....Lets list some more and keep the list going.....Big Joe

I managed a card store in 04 and 05, and owned my own in 07. I opened a lot of 04-05 Exquisite. I wanted to get some Jordan auto's which I had never pulled. I pulled some really nice things. A lot of low numbered autos including a sought after Scripted swatches 1/2 of Stephon Marbury and Jamaal Crawford. Most of the dual swatch panel auto's sold from $500-$15,000 at the time. Because of the players mine featured, the card pulled in a measly $190.00. I pulled a Ben Gordon / Luol Deng dual patch rc auto /5 which was a redemption. The card was worth approx $1000 at the time. It took UD 4 years, but last May they sent me 2 packs of UD Black, a Jerry West Auto /10 and an Elgin Baylor UD black Patch auto /10, and several other items because the card was never signed. I also pulled a Dwight Howard rc auto /99 which I managed to hang on to for 4 years before selling it for close to $4,000 last year. The best pulls came out of the first and last packs oddly enough. The first pack I ever opened yielded a Lebron James UD Masterpiece 1/1 printing pate auto from his rookie year (UD rookie Exclusives). I traded it for a Michael Jordan UD authentic Jersey / auto (Wizards), and a Jordan UD patch auto /23 from 01-02 (sold it for $1150), and a few other items. The last pack I opened that year yielded another Lebron 1/1 plate auto, this one from the 03-04 Fleer tradition set (UD purchased Fleer). I sold this one on Ebay for around $3000. Out of Exquisite I also pulled a Lebron auto /25 , a Kobe patch auto /50 , and a Gold Al Jefferson patch auto which I still have. I still kick myself everyday for selling the plates though.
Other things I have pulled were 2 - 1/1 NBA logoman patches out of the same box. One of Reggie Miller and the other of Ben Wallace ( both from Luxary Box, impossible to find). I pulled a Ladainian Tomlinson Sp authentic Patch rc auto in 2001 which I sold for $700 last year. My absolute favorite pull was out of 2004 Topps Originals. I had seen countless packs of the product opened in my shop and never saw anything special. The only one I opened landed a 1972 Willie Mays buyback auto. The card only books for $300 but Willie is my favorite player of all -time so I was elated. (Then sold it of course). I pulled a 1/1 Triple Threads 3x patch auto masterpiece of Don Mattingly which I had sold at BIN or best offer for $500.00 on Ebay. The card sold in the first 5 minutes for $500.00 which left me nervous that I could of easily gotten more. The Adrian Peterson you see on my Avatar was a fun pull, but the downside of collecting is the card isn't even worth what the pack cost me. The other auto's in the pack might of landed me $5. If you want a thrill, open a pack of Exquisite (Basketball), UD Black or Triple Threads, Nothing gets your Heart racing like busting these products because of the endless possibilities.

Wow do I feel dumb.

Here are some recent pulls, not the best but nice cards. They are from 2009 Bowman Football. I opened 2 boxes and here are the autos/auto patch cards. Available in my store, link is below.

Note that the cards are not for sale at this time. I do have boxes for sale though.
