Thanks Chad, but as I mentioned in my email to you...please send me a copy of the email you sent to customer care last week and I will follow-up with them to find out what happened.

This must be what you are guys are talking about. Win an auction, it finally gets paid for, then BAM!!!!!!!!!

Dear Chadwick Griffith and (edited out),

The seller (Edit) of the following transaction(s), has advised that the item in question is unfortunately no longer available. We will therefore reverse the following transaction(s) back to the buyer's cash account today.

1710842 2008 SP Rookie Edition SP HOLOFOIL RC #275 Peyton Hillis - Broncos (Short Print Holofoil RC) (Football Cards) NM - Near Mint or Better
As always, if either party has a question or concern about this or any other transaction, please contact us anytime and we are always glad to help.

Thank you.

Sincerely,

What a load of crap!!!!!!!!!! First time THAT happened after winning an auction. If this type of thing goes on all the time I can see why nobody bids.

There should NEVER be an out of stock on an AUCTION ITEM!

The seller should be suspended if it it happens more then 1 out 100 items ....

I agree, it could happen occasionally with a large inventory. But if you take the time to put the card up for auction you should take the time to make sure it still in your inventory!

I know for a fact that the card I won was NOT listed on ebay or sportlots or in a fixed price listing on sportsbuy. This was the ONLY copy of a 1995 SP style peyton hillis I found for sale. So where else did he sell it?

on the other hand, I have had two instances in my ebay store where the original bidder did not pay or communicate in a timely fashion and I relisted, only to forget to take down the relisted item when the winner finally paid. Once the first guy paid, and a half hour later, somebody else BIN'd and paid immediately. I was tempted to ship it to the second buyer on GP.

Just a little disappointed b/c I wanted that particular card. Maybe I will check beckett. Even if that is a little distasteful for my blood.

I just got screwed out of 2 auctions I won after the seller sent a shipping confirmation over a week ago. When is this going to stop? The seller of these is Skeeter's cards,I will continue to put in the sellers names as long as this continues and like I wrote before I dont do this on 1 card auctions which I can live with but I will not tolerate when this happens with numerous auctions from the same seller.Enough is enough already.

hank444us wrote:Just a question to throw out there.I recently bid on and won quite a few auctions from a seller who after the fact cancelled almost all of these sales.I can see if someone is missing a card but to cancel 5 auctions on the same day from the same seller is ridiculous.
Is anyone else out there coming into the same situation? These sellers arent getting the price they thought they would get and then voiding the transaction after its closed. This has already happened to me on quite a few occasions and I dont see it getting any better.

I've run into that lately on a few purchases, and I agree with your thoughts. I've even had sellers mark the item shipped-one seller even marked it shipped twice. As for the sellers feedback ratings, I've yet to see anyone with negative feedback-they're all 100%- I wonder what it takes to file a visible complaint against those type of sellers to protect us serious buyers?, and at the same time let them learn a lesson!

can you even leave FB? I ended up buying some cards--8 of them--of the guy whose auction got cancelled from me. HOWEVER, I bought them off of sportlots, and not on sportsbuy. I didn't want to gamble on whether or not a SB seller would ship out immediately of if they would sit on my order like last time. Marking it shipped 4 days after the order, and sitting on it another 3 days before actually taking it to the post office. The sportlots seller marked it shipped the same day. I don't need them until the 25th, so plenty of time.....

That said, their interface is so cumbersome, it took an hour to fill up a cart with 40 cards. I could have done that on sportsbuy in 15 or 20 minutes, easily, and probably got free shipping to boot ($16 order).

that card--the peyton hillis with the 95 SP design, never became available anywhere else that I could find.

If everyone spent as much time listing at fair saleable prices there would be a lot less complaining about sales fulfillment.

Thank you all for your posts,

If you experience any problems with sellers or buyers not following through with their auctions, please contact customer care and let them know and they will monitor and note chronic abusers and will discipline them accordingly. However, please also know that there are a lot of new auction sellers coming to SportsBuy that don't understand that SportsBuy is different than other auction sites they may be used to...so we educate them that they should start their auction at the minimum price they would need, but low enough to encourage bidders. But as noted before, if they continue to cancel auctions after selling, then we need to know about it and they will be disciplined accordingly. Lastly, if you are a VIP, contact Bill Elder at b.elder@sportsbuy.com and he will assist you in solving these issues.

Also, yes you do have the ability to leave feedback for sellers and we do have many sellers that are not 100%. All negative feedback goes through SportsBuy customer care who will assess each one and then assign ratings accordingly. In this way, it will ensure that buyers can place negative ratings without fearing retaliation from the seller, while also protecting sellers from buyers that leave unwarranted negative feedback. This will guarantee REAL feedback for buyers and sellers.

Regards,
Sportsbuy Management

Where do I leave feedback because even when I email the dispute dept they dont apply anything towards the sellers account.I have asked a few times for transactions that werent completed to be reflected on someone's rating and guess what?Nothing's done so that seller keeps there clean 100% rating.
I had a seller BRIAN JAMIESON who backed out of SIX AUCTIONS and even emailed me stating he's not going to sell his cards at that price after the auction closed. So anyone who doesnt want to get stiffed dont bid on BRIAN JAMIESON'S auctions.I got an email today with the message card is no longer available SIX TIMES!!!
SPORTSBUY, WHY BOTHER BIDDING?
YOU PROBABLY WONT READ THIS FOR ABOUT 2 WEEKS AND NOTHINGS STILL GOING TO BE DONE BUT I WANTED TO WRITE THIS ANYWAY BECAUSE I AM PISSED OFF.

Henry,

Yes as noted in our earlier post above...you do have the ability to leave feedback by simply emailing or calling SportsBuy customer care and they will assess each one and then assign ratings accordingly. In this way, it will ensure that buyers can place negative ratings without fearing retaliation from the seller, while also protecting sellers from buyers that leave unwarranted negative feedback. This will guarantee REAL feedback for buyers and sellers.

Hi all.

I am new here but please know, If you purchase one (or more ) of my cards, I always ship my cards and get a tracking # for proof of delivery.

I also have every singe card that I sell right here ready to ship.

If I sell a card via auction style I know that I am responsible for the starting bid and I realize that the card may only sell at that price.
So if anyone win or buys any of my listed card please know you will receive the exact item in the scan. Yes a scan of every card is provided.

Like my avatar? IT'S FOR SALE!

Don't worry about the world ending today, it's already tomorrow in Australia.

Galaxy-

I think 99% of the people on this site are fair and legit. Of course you will always find a bad apple hear and there and those are the ones that get all the attention. Welcome to the site and good luck buying/selling here! It is great to see this site continue to grow!
