Gonna throw my thoughts on your thread here. If I had auctions that were at 12 hours and 30 min. left and I dont like were the bids
are at as seller I have the right to cancels those auctions. And I do have about 5 cards in auction reaching the 12 hour mark and they not at the bids I
want so I will cancels those auctions and bids. It not a sale until the auction has ended so you can't call it canceled transaction in auction. That just my thoughts take it like you want.

Rangers You are mistaken , this is after the item is sold then they cancel. I think any smart seller would cancel within the time limit if they are on the ball .

Sportsbuy added the option of cancel transaction on the page where you are to mark shipped and alot of sellers are cancelling after auction ends if they don't like the price that is what this is about.

I've been reading all the responses since I started this topic and it seems everyone thats cancelled auctions after they have closed are just using lame excuses for doing whatever they please once they dont get the price they expect.When I started on here I read thru the various sell topics which was very easy reading and found out how to buy,sell and so on.So now I am reading about how people didnt know what the starting price meant and what is the reserve price.Cmon give me a break!
You mean to tell me if u had a $50 card and you knew you wouldnt sell for say no less then $20 then why would u put a starting bid at .10c with no reserve price?
I have had at least 15 cancelled auctions in the past 3 weeks and all these were from new sellers and I am not talking about one card auctions which I can live with because things happen and cards get lost or misplaced.
When I started on here it was Naxcom and I know they wouldnt have accepted whats been happening on this site with all this cancelling auctions and all the other stuff.I know one thing I am really disappointed on whats been happening lately on Sportsbuy.
When Sportsbuy put in that option to cancel auctions after they are over thats when all of this started,whats next?An option for buyers to cancel after the auction closes too?Lets see what these sellers that cancel auctions would feel like if that option was allowed for buyers use.Wouldnt like that too much would you?

Well here we go again.I won 3 auctions froma seller ALMA HORTON who cancelled these auctions after I won them.Guess what ?The 3 cards are back on her listings ready to sell again.Right about now I dont care that I put her name in here because if people dont want to play by the rules then so be it.
I even emailed her and asked why she cancelled my auction wins and she didnt have the decency to respond,thats ok because she will never see another bid from me again and anyone else that does the same thing I will put there name's in here too.And once again I am not writing about 1 card cancellations but numerous one's.
So if anyone wants to deal wuth this seller good luck.The auctions closed about 2 weeks ago and I emailed Sportsbuy about this situation and requested that these cancelled transactions be relected on her ratings.Do you think they did anything?NO!!!!!!!!!!!!

I too, never received my items from Robert Jones II, he never did respond to my inquiries about whether or not he was going to fulfill his side of the agreement. I had hoped I wouldn't see his name again. Sorry it happened to you too! I'm curious if when Sportsbuy asks for a reason as too why he chooses not to honor the seller's agreement and/or communicate with the buyers he has defrauded, if he says the same thing each time... "I'm new. I didn't understand how it worked"
I have a name for people like this. What's it called again? Oh yeah... "Developmentally Challenged!"

I won a bunch of cheap auctions last week, and thus far, no shipping conf, and no response from SB about the invoice situation.....Only 3 are showing up in my current purchases, and I got EOA emails about all of them.

EVERY email notification I recieved contains the following line:
"When the auction closed, your SportsBuy Account and/or Credit Card on file is charged. "
This is not cool. What is the point of placing bids if they will NOT be honored? None of the 4 missing auctions shows as having been deducted from my account. additionally, it shows that I have NO auctions with payment due................What the heck?!?!?!??!

You just sent an email to me today about this issue and I responded right away that customer care would investigate and then let you know...and from what I understand, this has now been resolved. So why did you post this kind of message on the message boards the same day?! Plus, you said that you sent an email to customer care last week and never got a response. Yet, I pointed out to you that you were using the wrong email for customer care. As noted on the website, their email is customercare@sportsbuy.com.
As for cancelling auctions, customer care does keep a log of sellers and buyers and once they have a habit of unwanted behavior, the users will be warned and then suspended. If you are a VIP, please contact me and I will personally check on the sellers and take the appropriate disciplinary action. However, it's important to note that every one of you that has posted here have a reversal, cancellation or some other activity that is not condoned on SportsBuy, and yet we try to give users the benefit of the doubt...up to a point of course. So keep that in mind.
For all non-VIP's...if you have a problem, send an email to customer care or call them directly and they will work with you to get things resolved. Bottom line is...you wouldn't get this kind of response or personal service anywhere else.

I typed in the wrong email address today. I got a bounce back almost as soon as I hit send. Bill, I don't believe I would have ever gotten a response if it had not been for you, so thank you. A recap of what happened today:
a) Recieved 3 of 7 auction wins. Having never heard back from customer care, this caused an urgent "what the heck is going on" situation.
b) Started poking around account. Found no auctions awaiting payment. Only three of seven listed in current purchases. All seven are listed on "auctions won." ZERO are listed under "pay for auctions I won." Check cash account. Find money removed only for 3.
c) Email Bill and customer care simultaneously. I only emailed bill because customer care never responded (they even said they were backed up).
d) post update here
e) hear back from Bill, recieve 7 more EOAs and this time 7 purchase notifications. Check cash account. Yup. They charged me for the three I got in the mail today....
f) let customer care know, at the same time the seller is going what the heck is going on. He also lets them know about the double charge, because he doesn't have duplicate cards to send.
g) cc starts reversal procedure which could take 2 days according to the email.
h) Get call from seller, apologizing profusely, though it wasn't his fault. Thanks for the call, by the way. Always nice to talk shop. The seller is a great guy. Too bad nobody bid against me.
i) recieve email from Bill. He is dissapointed that I uncorked a "nasty" post on here.
I disagree that saying someone needs to get their head on straight is "nasty." I did not intend to offend anyone, though.

sounds like sportbuy got alittle pissy with ya,,,dont let it bug ya ,we must all understand that things have to be dealt with here for the site to keep growing. if i had a prob and sportsbuy came at me like i was starting shit i would not take it. but i must say sportbuy is fair, and with all the emails and calls they are getting they might feel alittle pissed and behind on getting back to all the folks. here what i think, i buy and sell here but its for fun only i dont need to make money selling cards, but some sellers here make a living selling cards so i can see why tempers fly here at times. i can see sportsbuy giving the bad sellers a warning and if that dont work them give them the boot.
but again i think everyones missing the deal here, if i ran this site i would do some things differnt but as far a just kicking everyone who messes up here off is wrong. we all say give them the boot ,but were not runing this site sportsbuy is so with all the blaming sportsbuy for not doing anything about this prob is just no right, they are doing things about it. i see most folks here blaming sportsbuy for not acking lighting fast, it dont work like that, even the crap sellers have rights and sportsbuy make money off them as well . so i can see why they take this prob slow and not rush things. many factors come in to play here, 1, is the seller new and just ignorant,2, is it a seller whos cancaled before more then one item at a time. 3, did the seller make a mistake not knowing that was wrong. this is what sportbuy must look into first i would think. anyways keep your head up high.
